Change of management committee details

For any change of office-bearer(s) that occur in the middle of the term of office, e.g. due to resignation or death etc., societies should file a Change of Management Committee Details with the Registry of Societies.  

For updates on the list of latest committee members elected at a society’s recent Annual General Meeting (AGM), a society should file an Annual Return with the Registry of Societies instead.

What you should know

The administration of a society shall be entrusted to a committee consisting of minimally the President, Secretary and Treasurer. All office-bearers should be elected by the members of the society.

Please ensure that the elected committee members continue to meet the citizenship criteria where relevant, as stipulated in the society’s constitution.

What information you need

A Change of Management Committee Details is to be submitted online at ROS eServices.  Any 2 of these 3 office-bearers (President, Secretary and Treasurer) are required to verify the application online.

For Religious Societies, the President, Secretary and Treasurer (all 3 office-bearers) of the society are required to verify the application online.

Minutes of meeting signed by the President or Secretary and/ or resignation letters/ other supporting documents for attachment should preferably be in docx or pdf format. The file size of each attachment should not exceed 5MB. 

Please ensure that your society’s outstanding Annual Returns, if any, are submitted and filed before making any Change of Management Committee Details submission.  

What to expect

Upon receipt of the Change of Management Committee Details, the Registry of Societies will process the submission and where necessary, seek further clarification from the applicant. Applicants can log in to our e-services to check on the status of their application/submission.
